| A Flawless Skin- Top Beauty Tips Posted: 26 Jun 2009 09:53 AM PDT A clean and flawless skin can do wonders for you; can boost up your confidence level. If you take adequate care of your skin, no matter how many skin problems you face, your skin will remain healthy and you'll manage to look beautiful. The first and the most important step in skin care are to identify your skin type. All the skincare treatments and products depend upon the type of skin type you have. The products to be used vary from one skin type to the other. Certain products work well for oily skin, but might not work that effectively on dry or normal skin. The various steps that should be kept in mind for a perfect skincare for a flawless skin have been mentioned below. You should follow certain beauty tips as a fixed routine to get that radiant flawless skin. 1. Thorough cleansing is the first step for skincare. It helps in removing the dirt and excess oil from your skin. You can use cleansers which are specific solutions used for cleansing, which consists of a mixture of oil, water and a surfactant. The oil dissolves the excess oil from the skin, surfactant cleans the dirt on the skin, and water washes out all the garbage from the skin, making the skin look fresh. 2. Exfoliating the skin removes the dead skin cells to make your skin look fresh and clean. These dead cells form a layer around the outer layer of the skin and make your skin duller than the natural complexion. Scrubbing is the most common method of removing the dead cells from the skin gently. Some people also prefer peeling treatments. This should be done at least two times per week. 3. Irrespective of whether your skin is dry or oily, you should regularly moisturize your skin. Dry skin just perhaps needs more moisturizing than oily skin. Moisturizer locks the water in your skin and thus prevents it from cracking and appearing dry. 4. While going out in day time, it is always advisable to use a sunscreen. This is because sun damage is generally irreversible and thus it's better to prevent this damage caused by the UV rays. Sun damage is one of the main reasons for wrinkles and so a moisturizer with SPF should be used. Thus the only way of making your skin flawless is to take proper care of your skin, there is not any shortcut to it. A routine skincare not only helps keeping the skin fresh and delays the aging process of the skin too. Thus these steps of daily skin care should be adapted for a healthy and flawless skin. | How to Sparkle At Any Party- Beauty Tips Posted: 26 Jun 2009 09:49 AM PDT ![]() If you want to look great at any party and standout from the crowd learn these quick beauty secrets and you will be the belle of the ball. This year metallic is in as a theme and this allows for a dramatic stand out look. Metallic and smoky eyes have been a big theme on the catwalks and other dramatic colours such as red and plum and electric blue are also big this year. If you go for a standout colour or you want to be more conservative, the Beauty tips below will help get you noticed. Make up 1. A great quick beauty secret is some false lashes. You can use alternate short and medium lashes to get a soft innocent look, or look more feline and vampy by using shorter lashes in the centre and medium ones to the side. 2. Eyes are one of your most important assets so make them the centre of attention. 3. Lips should be sexy! If you have pale skin you can use a blackish red lipstick, that will give you a gothic look or another standout colour such as purple. 4. For classy eye make up go for a silver - gold look with eye makeup. It gives an effervescent look and is the ultimate in sophistication. Nails Your nails if properly done will always get noticed, so what are the best colours for a party? 1. A French manicure is always classy and a safe choice but if you want to be a bit more daring and metallic crimson reds are a great option. 2. Try and match your lips to your nails. You communicate with both and this will make the upper body frame and make you look chic and sexy. Hair For a quick great look try the following – A long bob with a straight parting, which is a classic stylish look. It's extremely easy to do and the parting can be down the side or centre. You can also tuck one side behind your ear so you can get some glitzy sparkly earrings. Face 1. Get your face prepared a day or two before. The reason for this is if you have a facial on the day impurities tend to come to the surface and you don't want that on the night! Do 48 hours before to ensure your skin looks its best and simply exfoliate on the day. 2. Powdered skin always gives a uniform appearance so use concealer rather than foundation which can make your face look tired and mask like. Body Relax in essential oils and let them moisturize and tone your skin on the day. Exfoliate the day before (not on the day) to avoid possible short term irritation. Make sure you moisturize all over afterwards. Fragrance Use strong smelling fragrances such as amber or musk, as they will give a pleasant scent in any party atmosphere. Just a few beauty secrets that are quick and easy to do and of course there are many more - that will help you look your best on your big night. |
| Top 7 Beauty Tips To Stay Younger Posted: 26 Jun 2009 09:44 AM PDT ![]() Ever since Eve took that first bite of the apple, the human race has been obsessed with beauty. The truth is we begin the aging process just as soon as we pop out of the womb. Every day of our lives our bodies slough off and regenerate new cells. The speed at which that process takes place when we are children is vastly different as we get older. Every day you are bombarded daily with commercial messages and beauty tips that attempt to lure you into believing that the most recent miracle drug is just what you need to fight off the ravages of Mother Nature. We are living longer as a whole. Singularly, that can be a curse or a blessing, depending on your perspective. The best route to natural beauty and healthy skin is to take care of what you have. Sounds simple, doesn't it? The truth is that your skin takes a beating from the environment every single day. Here are some of our favorite beauty tips for keeping your skin fresh and healthy: 1: Stay hydrated and do it with plenty of water! That does not mean soda, caffeine or any other type of liquid, even if it is low cal. Soda (even diet soda) has a high concentration of sodium. Sodium retains fluids. You need fluid that will hydrate and flush your body free of toxins. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses a day! 2: Protect your skin from harmful ultra violet (UV) rays. We all love the sun. We love being in it and we love having a beautiful tan. The truth is you can poison yourself with too much sunshine. UV rays cause skin cancer and if that isn't bad enough it causes your skin to age faster than it should, contributing to unsightly wrinkles. If you must play in the sun, make certain you are using an adequate sun screen. Don't leave home without it! 3: Keep your skin clean. Use a soft warm cloth. Skin does not require scrubbing. You will do more harm than good if you do. 4: The best cure for wrinkles is to never have them in the first place! If you are like most of us, you didn't listen to your Mom when she tried to tell you to stay in the shade, stand up straight and stop squinting! 5: Eat healthy. Knowing how and what to eat, can make a huge difference in how you feel. Improper eating habits can cause depression, weight gain, illness and an overall lethargy. Weight gain causes your skin to stretch. As you get older, it loses its elasticity and you're left with sagging skin. The best solution to this is to maintain a proper weight. A rule of thumb for eating habits are...don't eat more calories than you consume. Don't go one single day without doing something extra and physical for at least 30 minutes per day. This can be three ten minute walks. Or 30 minutes of vigorous aerobics, or 12 minutes of weight lifting and 18 minutes of walking. 6: Don't worry, be happy. A happy outlook appears to trigger the release of endorphins. Endorphins relax the cardiovascular system and cytokines which alert the immune system to pay attention in detecting abnormalities like cancer cells. Listen carefully to yourself. If you have put yourself down since childhood, over a lifetime, negative subliminal messages can take their toll by turning you into a pessimist. Spend one week writing down the phrases you use in your "self talk." Chances are you will find that you repeat a dozen or so phrases over and over again that reinforce that negative image. If you know about them, you can change them. Outer beauty and inner joy go hand in hand. Here are a few quick tips for increasing joy, hope and optimism that will work no matter what your age: Make a list of at least 50 great things that happen to you every day. Laugh a lot. You'll heal your body and your mind. Discover a new challenge each month. Try meditating for just five minutes each day. 7: Sex After 50 – Ha! How many of you jumped ahead to this section? The importance of physical intimacy actually depends on the couple. An alarming number of men used to give up on sex after 60 and many women used to feel that their sex life ended with menopause. Thankfully, that is no longer the case. Sex at middle age can actually become better and more satisfying than ever before. Maturity gives a couple more experience in lovemaking. The children are usually grown and left home. The pressures of building a career and day to day life are usually less stressful than in younger years. Is beauty really skin deep? The answer is yes and no. It's a paradox, isn't it? True beauty begins from the inside out. Don't you wish there was some way to "wriggle your nose" and regain that soft skin you had as a child? Well, until someone comes up with the true "Fountain of Youth" we are stuck with what we have. Just remember that getting older doesn't have to mean getting old. |

Thank you for these skin-care tips.
When asked what is the biggest organ in the body, many people answer that it is the liver. The right answer is, however, the skin because it covers our body.
The condition of your skin is closely linked to the condition of your immune system. It also acts one of your major first lines of protection against pathogens that attempt to invade your body. It is then to be expected that your skin, acting as your watchdog, would,at times, show the scars of engaging in a battle on your behalf.
A lack of attention to this crucial area could have a far-reaching impact on the lives of the whole famly as well as their generations to come.
You see most conditions and diseases are caused by the presence of free radicals, oxidative stress and inflammation of the body tissues, cells and organs. Free radicals must be immediately removed from your body or else degeneration of the immune system sets in and pathogens have a field day.
Your body is equipped with a naturally-produced substance called Glutathione which is known as your body's master antioxidant.
As of the age of 20, this substance begins to decline progressively leaving your immune system open to assaults. This natural in-your-body substance can be replenished by providing your body with the required precursors for Glutathione production.
The skin can greatly benefit from having adequate levels of Glutathione to defend it.
Many immune system boosters do not survive the journey from the mouth through the intestines to the inner cell where they do their work. This has to do with the bioactivity of the product.
